and Woman's Day, and a not-to-be-missed blog, the oh-so-fabulous Eddie began his career working in television, first as a food editor on Martha Stewart Living and later as Associate Design Director at Food Network.
After a two-year stint running his own catering company, Eddie made the move to publishing. As Associate Decorating Editor at House Beautiful (one of my absolute favorite shelter mags), he produced the popular “Weekend Shopper,” a monthly article for which he’d travel to flea markets around the country, giving new life to old things (one of my absolute favorite activities). After that, his career began to take off, and now he is an interior design powerhouse, event and photo stylist, and blogger extraordinaire.
In May's Southern Living, Eddie's column was about - what else? - turning fun flea market finds into glorious new and improved versions of themselves. The star of the column was an old pedestal game table. Pretty lines, but it needed some help, no?
I love how Eddie is smiling amidst the chaos! :o) |
Of course, Eddie saw the potential in this piece, and in 5 (relatively) simple steps, this is what he was able to create:
How awesome is that? I love the color (but of course), and the paper he lined the drawers with. The table can also be folded up and used as a foyer or end table, as shown below.
Just too cute! Now if I only had 3 or 4 of these beauties to pull out on my Bunco nights....
